Due to concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19, sporting events and activities have been temporarily suspended or postponed since March 2020. A post-lockdown return to the basketball court following the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions was highly anticipated by most of the MPT South male employees.
Last March 21, 2022, twenty-four MPT South male employees were able to fill their thirst for the game by playing at the basketball court of the Hive. The recreational and learning facility of MPT South is located at Imus, Cavite. It was also the first time that the basketball court was used since it was built in 2021.

Playing for the first time, both teams felt the lack of physical activities due to the restrictions of the lockdown. Despite the potential body aches after the game, each team cheered for each other and had fun. The game was officiated by Emil S. Vadassery and Norie A. Pantoja of Supply Chain Management and Insurance.
