For this month’s #MPTSouth@yourservice story, let us know more of our dedicated employees from Vertical Asset Management who were also 100% present during the pandemic. They also played a big role during our transfer to our MPT South Hub last February 2021.

SOUTHLINK: What is your most stressful experience as Vertical Asset Assistant Manager?

“My most stressful experience in my job ay nung hindi sumalo ang genset namin sa Calax noong may bagyo. Pero before that, three days before ng bagyo ay nag-PMS pa kami at okay naman and one day before typhoon ay nagtest run ulit kami at wala naman problema. But on the day na may bagyo na at nawala ang supply ng commercial power bigla na lang hindi gumana ang equipment. Kaya nataranta rin ako kahit na alam nman namin na beyond control na namin ang situation at naayos rin namin after three hours.”

SOUTHLINK: What is your most rewarding experience as Vertical Asset Assistant Manager?

Yung mga simpleng thumbs up at good job sa SMS man o sa email na binibigay ng mga boss ko ay malaking reward na sa akin yun. Pero yung mga co employees ko na hindi ko inaasahan minsan di ko alam na nakakatulong na pala ako. Like nung nasama ako sa most collaborative employees ng MPT South, natuwa ako dahil sa simpleng pakikipag usap sa mga colleague ko ay may naitutulong na pala ako na minsan di ko inaasahan.”

SOUTHLINK: Paano mo idedescribe ang trabaho mo as a frontliner?

“As a frontliner support, kami ang rumeresponde kapag may problema ang mga equipment natin sa mga plaza. Noong panahon na mabilis ang pagtaas ng mga cases, natatakot rin ako dahil d natin alam kung sino ang puedeng makapagbigay sayo ng sakit at baka madala mo rin sa iyong pag uwi sa bahay. kaya dobleng ingat na lang ginagawa namin sa pagsunod sa tungkulin namin mapa CAVITEX, C5, o CALAX man kami pumunta.”

SOUTHLINK: How do you feel telling people that you work as a frontliner especially during this pandemic?

“Ang sinasabi ko sa mga tao na support kami sa toll facilities at di kami direct na humaharap talaga sa motorist. Kasi yung mga panahon na mataas ang case ng covid, kapag sinabi mo na frontliner ka medyo naiilang sila sa amin kase iniisip nila na mataas ang chance na mahawa kami kasi frontliner ka nga pero kapag naipaliwanag naman ng maayos ay nagiging okay naman.

SOUTHLINK: Can you tell me about a time when you were proud of the level of service you gave a customer?

“Nakakagaan ng loob na ang request ng mga customer namin ay naibibigay namin sa takdang oras. minsan kasi may mga panahon na may mga biglaang pinapagawa na kailangan maibigay mo sa hinihinging oras.”

SOUTHLINK: Can you tell me about a time when you received poor feedback from the motorist?

“Minsan nakakadurog din puso ang mga masasamang feedback ng motorist lalo na sa social media. Minsan gusto ko rin sumagot kaya lang hindi ako authorize, gusto mo ipagtanggol ang company mo kaya lang baka i-bash ka lang. Kaya sa ngayon iniiwasan ko na ang magbasa sa mga comment against sa ating company. Hehhehehe.”

SOUTHLINK: If you could go back to your position during your first month, ano ang sasabihin mo sa sarili mo?

Naremember ko lang nung first month ko sa company, medyo boring ako dahil wala pa talagang halos ginagawa. CAVITEX pa lang ang operational at under ako sa Engineering Department na puro design pa lang ang mga ginagawa. Pero habang tumatagal at dumarami na rin nagiging kaibigan mo nagiging masigla na ang pagpapasok ko sa trabaho at nagkakaroon na rin ako ng mga job assignment.”

SOUTHLINK: What is your most stressful experience as Auxillary and Building Senior Associate?

“My most stressful experience related to work was during the early period of the pandemic wherein as a frontliner we are expected to report to work amidst the risk of covid -19 virus.”

SOUTHLINK: What is your most rewarding experience as Auxillary and Building Senior Associate?

“Being able to help others in the midst of crisis by efficiently doing my work tasks.”

SOUTHLINK: Paano mo idedescribe ang trabaho mo as a frontliner?

Sa panahon ng pandemya patuloy kami sa maintenance at service sa mga tollway facilities at buildings upang masiguro ang maayos na takbo ng serbisyo sa publiko.”

SOUTHLINK: How do you feel telling people that you work as a frontliner especially during this pandemic?

For me, it was a great opportunity to be considered as a frontliner, wherein I was able to do my share as a responsible citizen during this trying time.

SOUTHLINK: Can you tell me about a time when you were proud of the level of service you gave a customer?

This was the time when we were able to respond quickly with emergency cases that might hamper regular operations of the toll plazas.

SOUTHLINK: How do you feel about the transfer to MPTS Hub?

Ako ay nasisiyahan sa paglipat natin sa HQ kung saan nasa iisang tahanan na ang lahat na parang isang pamilya na magkakasama na sa ngayon.
