The Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPTS), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), offered Christmas gratitude by giving Noche Buena packages to Local Government Units (LGUs) as part of the MPTC group initiative to spread the Christmas spirit and its commitment to host communities.
MPTS visited LGU partners to distribute nearly 3,000 Christmas food packs. Among the LGUs were: Provincial Government of Cavite; City of Bacoor, Dasmarinas, Imus, General Trias, Kawit, and Silang, Cavite; City of Las Pinas, Paranaque, Taguig, and Pasay, Metro Manila; Provincial Government of Laguna; the City of Binan and Santa Rosa, Laguna; and Municipality of Nasugbu, Batangas.
“This is the perfect time to give thanks to our LGU partners. They have done many things for us for the past years especially during this pandemic. These Noche Buena packages were just small gifts compared to the support we have received from them in helping us improve our expressways and services. We wanted to make them feel special this Christmas of 2020,” said Ms. Arlette V. Capistrano, Assistant Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management of MPT South.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 on March 2020, MPTS has been supporting its host communities along Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex), C-5 Link Flyover, and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX). Among the efforts were food, medicine, and livelihood tent donations. MPTS also provided free toll passages for COVID-19 frontliners during the implementation of enhanced community quarantine in 2020.
