Message from MPT South TDE Head Arturo H. Monge

Excellence and Independence Day

Dear MPT South Employees,

With the pandemic seemingly in retreat, and our situation slowly getting back to “normal”, the first half of the year seems like a taste of freedom for us! Finally! And speaking of freedom, let me just greet a Happy 124th Independence Day to all of us Filipinos!

We are also grateful that this month, we will be sending out again this newsletter to remind us on the essence of Excellence and how it has benefited not only our company, but our nation as well.

Continuously facing the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19 pandemic and recently, coupled with the crisis brought about by the Ukraine-Russia war, MPT South has remained to strive and thrive to deliver our commitment to improve the lives of Filipino people through infrastructure.

Over the past years in pandemic, we have proven how excellence is embedded in our culture, being adaptable to changes, transformations, and transitions, in shifting priorities, and in exploring and executing alternatives. With these, we were able to complete our pipeline projects, R-1 Enhancement Project and CALAX Subsection 5, as committed. We have also successfully built our new home, the MPT South Hub which was awarded LEED Gold Certification during the 1st quarter of this year. Simultaneously, we have commenced the CALAX Cavite Segment and C5 South Link Segments 2 and 3A-2, and to top that, next month, we look forward to another milestone as we are set to open to public the Segment 3A-2 in Merville, Parañaque as the Cavitex-C5 Link Flyover Extension!

However, excellence in execution does not only lie on the plans, strategies, and the work itself, but most importantly, to the people behind this individually contributing to work together to achieve a common goal. The success of a project is inevitable when each one of us finds how our role is vital to project delivery and holds ourselves accountable to our commitment to excellence.

I am confident that when we continuously uphold the culture of excellence, we are bound to emerge as a stronger organization post-pandemic, significantly contributing to Philippine economy, especially in the society.

To end this, I would like to instill in your mind what Aristotle once said “We are what we repeatedly do, Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit” The quote wants to tell us that it is doesn’t matter what people do from time to time. In order to achieve excellence, an action must be done repeatedly to the point that it can be considered a habit.

Arangkada MPTSouth!
