Now that the year has started and our 2023 budget has been cascaded, probably each Division’s next question would be, “bukas na ba ang tindahan?” And when we say “tindahan”, we are pertaining to the Division which takes charge of purchasing goods or services related to our needs – the Supply Chain Management and Insurance or SCMI. You’re probably wondering how do they manage the upcoming surge of requests from various Divisions, don’t you? Well, one way for sure is to deploy additional staff to cater to all our needs (and to hear all your incessant follow ups lol). For this month’s #JuanOfSouth, we will be highlighting two new faces from SCMI who will be of great help to us (yes, you – ikaw na process owner/requestor) in the coming months.
These two were total opposites when asked as to how they ended up in their career. For the new Contracts Management and Accreditation Associate under the team of Ms. Ciel – Razzjan Mae E. Azcueta, or Razz, Accounting has always brought her enjoyment ever since she was in high school, so she took Business Administration Major in Management Accounting with Specialization Track in Business Analytics (that’s a mouthful). On the other side, Ms. Princess Guevarra’s new teammate, Procurement Engineer Josef Wojtyla A. Vics, or Josef (pagalingan tayo sa pronunciation), choosing Civil Engineering is just a mistake or a typo error in his college application which then resulted to him completing the five-year engineering degree. Now, they’re currently thriving on their chosen paths and starting to make significant contributions as members of SCMI.

Position: Contracts Management and Accreditation Associate
Division / Department: Supply Chain Management and Insurance
Reporting directly to: Ms. Carousiel Limon
Brief Job Description/Duties & Responsibilities: Accredit SVCs by evaluating their capacity in terms of service quality, risk management, human resources, facilities management and health and safety. Schedules and conducts virtual ocular inspection and prepares Vendor Accreditation Report, Summary of other findings and other related documents and forms that need to comply in assessing an SVCs for accreditation purposes.
School and Course: De La Salle University – Dasmarinas, Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Management Accounting with Specialization Track in Business Analytics
Q: What are the things you look forward to experiencing here at MPT South?
Razz: As a new employee, I always look forward to more learnings, even if it is outside of my field of expertise. I also look forward to company events that will help us create a bond with each other (example: team building)
Q: How do you handle stressful work conditions / environment?
Razz: When I’m feeling stressed, I always deal with it in a cool, calm, and relaxed mind. Then I sort all the things that need to be done based on their urgency and do the tasks one by one. I enjoy doing cross stitch, crochet, and playing puzzle games. I like to do the things that can ease my mind.

Q: What are the things you look forward to experiencing here at MPT South?
Josef: Learning. I always try to learn new things wherever I go, and I think MPT south is another great opportunity for me to learn and grow as an engineer, as someone who is part of the labor force, or just a person in general.
Q: How do you handle stressful work conditions / environment?
Josef: If I get “too stressed” I usually engage in recreational activities, or any other activity that would take my mind off work and relax a bit. or matulog nalang. I typically exercise/work out in my free time, (it’s basically a routine so idk if it counts as “free time”). Besides working out, I love playing video games, majority of my time is taken up by video games, maybe too much time.
