The beginning of a new year signifies a new beginning, an end to the old, and a chance for a fresh start.
This is the time that we look back and take what we have learned from the previous year on to the next. This is the time that we feel refreshed and with renewed energy to set out new plans, goals, and changes.
Filipinos love New Year. During this time, we make sure that the table is packed with food and every household is filled with traditions like buying 12 round fruits for an abundant year, spreading coins around the house, and wearing polka-dotted dress. It is the only night that we don’t mind loud noises coming from torotot and speakers pumping with loud music. And of course, firecrackers will always be part of the list.
We asked our MPT South family to proudly post their New Year photos for the last three years. And here are the top three entries that won 1,500 pesos each
- Sharmain E. Binarao, Operations Management

2. Lineth Joy P. Cabaces, Technology Management

3. Alexa Mae Bulfa, Toll Operations
