The Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), continues to promote road safety to the motorists of Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex) and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), after the implementation of stricter community quarantine in NCR plus, while ensuring public safety.
MPT South conducted its award-winning DrayBerks Road Safety and Bayani Ka seminar via Zoom video conferencing with virtual guests from: Bacoor Traffic Management Department (BTMD) and Bacoor City Information Office; representatives from the Public Information Office (PIO) of Taguig City, its Traffic Management Office, and Facilities and Maintenance Office.
“Maraming salamat po dahil very informative po ang inyong inihandang seminar at videos, especially po sa kagaya ko na baguhan lang sa pagmamaneho. Actually, naka-daan na rin ako diyaan sa CALAX and its nice to know na mayroon po tayong ganitong klaseng program na makapagbibigay po ng tamang imporasyon sa mga motorista,” said Ma. Eleonor Gemma Nacasabog from the Public Information Office of Taguig.
Bayani Ka, short for “Bayani ng Kalsada”, is one of the enviro-safe programs of MPT South that aims to create road safety advocates. It reaches out to its key stakeholders, educating them on how to develop a habit of practicing road safety. It also aims to reduce and prevent RA 2000 violations on MPT South expressways. As for Drayberks, another social advocacy program of MPT South, it inspires its motorists to become one of their partners in road safety by showing them how they can take advantage of the safety features of the expressway.
In 2019, DrayBerks got its Silver Anvil for the Anvil Award of Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) under Public Relations Program on a Sustained Basis – Social Responsibility category.
