Alagang Kapwa Oras-Oras: Hearts for Health Heroes

by Debbie Jane P. Baladad and Leslie Ann C. Saulog, FEBRUARY 2022

MPT South and its communities witnessed the success of the Alagang Kapwa Oras Oras (AKO) Donation Drive last year. It will not touch many lives and hearts without the help of those who impart their blessings. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our co-workers who never had a second thought of sharing for our communities.

The Stakeholder Management team in partnership with Contracts Administration Department is very excited to launch the start of this year’s donation drive. On February 15, the project unveiled its theme for February to March. Hearts for Health Heroes aims to pay tribute to our medical front liners. Food such as tetra pack juices and biscuits can be donated. Medical supplies like disposable face masks, face shields, alcohol, tote bags, and mask headband. Letter and motivational cards can also be donated. This way, we can show and make our front liners feel our love, care, and support for them. Employees are encouraged to bring whatever it is that they can in line with the theme until March 25, 2022.

There are more exciting themes that we can look forward for the entire year. It is with the firm belief that we can help more communities and families for this year as we embrace the challenges that we are about to face. Nothing beats the heart of Filipino people who are willing to share, especially during these difficult times.
