Alagang Kapwa Oras Oras Continuously Touching Lives

by Leslie Ann C. Saulog and Debbie Jane P. Baladad, OCTOBER 2021

Looking back, Alagang Kapwa Oras Oras was launched in May 2021 and is now in its fifth month. It is the corner where the generosity of MPTS employees can be witnessed. For each month, assigned departments get to share their blessings by donating to the AKO corner. Without getting any in return, kind hearts are continuously pouring donations to the generosity corner. Who would have thought that this project would touch the hearts of many communities and their people?

The donations from the Back-to-School theme were donated to the City Government of Imus and to the community where MPTS Hub is situated, Brgy. Alapan II-B. The donors are as follow:

For our year-round donation theme last July, the following employees and divisions expressed their support by giving in-kind donations.

The communities of barangays Elias Aldana, Ilaya, Manuyo Uno in Las Piñas City, and Brgy. Malamig, Biñan City were the beneficiaries of the donated items.

The month of August is headed by the Technology Management Division, and they are the only division that donated. The items were given to the barangays of Biñan, Timbao, Bungahan, Loma, and Malamig in Biñan City, Laguna. Brgy. Carmen, Silang Cavite also received the donation.

September is also a year-round donation theme, and the list of recipients are Barangays Sto. Niño, Parañaque City, Barangays Talaba II and Digman in Bacoor City, Brgy. Carmen, Silang, and Brgy. Bungan, Biñan City. The donors are the following:

Our warmest and sincerest gratitude goes to everyone who keeps on supporting the AKO project. We are in high hopes that we all get back to the old normal so our communities can also get back to their jobs and earn a living. At the end of the day, the heart that gives is the happiest.
