OneLife Passion Talks: Photography

Last 28 July 2023, Emil Vadassery (Central Warehouse), Rod Sicapore (Traffic Operations), and Heinz Orais (Commercial Management) shared their journeys and passions through photos and photography. The session was attended by employees who brought their personal cameras and phones to learn from their co-employees.

Emil, who describes himself as a beginner, shared that his drive to improve taking pictures of his wife is what made him start into photography. He connected with Heinz whom he considers as a professional and mentor. Emil shared different genres of his own photos and talked about factors that he considered when taking pictures. The second speaker, Rod, showcased his collection of beautiful landscapes, nature, sunsets, and the MPTC tollroads. With no formal education in photography, he shared the moments he felt that it was needed to be captured. He, too, connected with Heinz, who shares the same interest with him. All eyes were on Heinz, the last speaker, as he briefly shared his journey and how he transformed his passion into a business. Heinz generously lectured on tips and techniques in photography. He introduced technical terms and converted these into easy-to-digest information for the audience. The last part of the session was a practical application of these techniques with the speakers engaging with the audience as they practice with their own cameras and phones.
