#JuanOfSouth: Father’s Day

Did you know that we have a new Security Specialist handling the security matters at CALAX? You’ve probably came across him around the office premises but probably never got a chance to know him personally. So let Juan of South be your main “Marites” to know more about this new guy.

Our new Security Specialist is Mr. Christopher P. Ventura, the main point person for security matters at CALAX and part of the MPT South’s Security Committee. A graduate of BS Criminology from Lacson College, Pasay, Christopher is not a newbie when it comes to working in the Security Industry as he has been in this field since after his tertiary education.

Overall, he’s one with the Security Operations team which oversees all the assigned security personnel here in the South. Under his wing are about 60 pax security detachment scattered across MPT South Hub and CALAX, as well as our site offices in the CALAX Construction Sites. He is also the one in charge for the Security Orientation for newly deployed security personnel.

So why MPT South? According to Christopher, after looking at the background of the company, he knew that MPT South can provide the job experience he is looking for. An additional factor is that the employees are easy to get along with. In his exact words – “ang mga empleyado ng kumpanyang ito is talagang mababait at madadaling pakisamahan.”

Of course, as official Marites, we wouldn’t miss this chance to get to know him on a personal level. And since Father’s Day just recently concluded, let’s get to know his fatherhood journey as well. When did you become a dad? Can you tell us a brief story of your fatherhood journey?

Before I would consider myself as happy-go-lucky. But fast forward to March 2019, my son came into picture which made me more mature in terms of handling life matters. Naging mas mature na ako sa buhay mula ng dumating siya. The best part of being a father to him is having the chance and privilege to give my love unconditionally to my child, and to support and mold him to becoming a good person. Every day-off ko pinapasyal ko ang aking pamilya sa mall or any other places na maappreciate ng bata. Aside from that, di pa rin nawawala yung “me time” during my day off – like watching anime or meeting up with friends. But at the end of the day, mas naeenjoy ko pa din yung time ko with my family.

My son’s name is Ch R. Ventura. Just “C-H”, which obviously came from my name. He is now four years old. 😊
