2023 Quarter 1 LEAD Talks

One of the vital management functions in any organization is leadership.  

For the first of four series LEAD Talks, we invited the Head of Finance, Ms. Elnora “Bing” Rumawak. Ms. Bing is a graduate of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and a Certified Public Accountant. She has over 20 years of experience in finance, controllership, treasury, and audit. 

Leadership through empowerment was the main focus of the discussion. During the session, the What, Why, and How of workplace empowerment were discussed. On the latter part, Ms. Bing imparted to the participants the 5 ways on how to empower oneself. 

  • Learn what is expected from you. Define your role. Clear expectations. Know how you’ll add value to the organization. 
  • Choose a mentor to define your personal career goals and empower you to achieve them while helping you feel more engaged at work.  
  • Ask for consistent feedback. 
  • Communicate with your supervisor.
  • Invest in your learning.
