Climate change and habitat loss are everyone’s concern—the government, businesses, and communities. Recognizing this, we organized tree-planting activities, installed solar panels for our toll booths, and replaced lightings and roadway lamps with LED fixtures. We’re also collaborating with USAID SIBOL on a biodiversity program that makes science-based and nature-centered decisions, in order to convert CALAX into a more sustainable highway. As we continue improving the management of our natural resources, we plan to transform our biodiversity program into an income-generating project for our host communities in the future.
