Awardee: Joeven C. Caponpon, ROW Support Supervisor
Joeven set high standards for himself in his performance of work in ensuring delivery of outputs. His work attitude shows relentless efforts to achieve increasingly higher levels of performance even under challenging situations. He has proven himself in exemplifying excellence in everything that he do.
One specific task is the relocation of a total of 998 Informal Settler Families at Segment 2. The actual completion date of ISF Relocation and demotion was January 19, 2021. Target date for this activity is not applicable since this is a rolling negotiation. But nonetheless, Joeven managed to pull together all concerned agencies (DPWH/NHA/LGUs/PNP/DSWD/MMDA/HUDDC/PCUP/NGO/Community) to agree with one common schedule to facilitate the relocation including the force demolition of ISFs. When the scheduled relocation activities were identified, with no further delays, the plan was successfully rolled out.
This activity is very tedious and complicated involving multiple government agencies and of of course massive number of families to be relocated. He showed his persistence and commitment to ensure that this relocation will happen. He untiringly coordinated with a lot of stakeholders, influencing and pushing people to do what needs to be done. A lot of political and social debate that needs to be controlled so as to achieve our goal, Joeven has done everything to complete this task for Segment 2.
